The Great Maya Angelou
It all started with the simple task of trying to complete the statement
"I am the descendant of.."
My husband and I began to cultivate a list of who our known ancestors were.
Two words, fusing all the names of those we know and leaving room in between for the ones we have yet to discover;
Elly and Amar was born.
Elly and Amar studio pays homage to my lineage through its' name, the meticulous attention to our environment and the constant dedication to create.
We welcome you into our studio like a Filipino lola (Grandmother) would to the entire community; like family.
A space that is warm (like creamy chicken sopas on a rainy day), inviting (like the scent of freshly cooked lumpia) and fun (like karaoke on Christmas Day).
From our family to yours,
Ingat "take care"

I highly enjoy learning new things as well as connecting with people from all walks of life."

"Hello! My name’s Angelique.
I come from a small city called Guelph and came to the big city to take my first big step into the beauty industry. I received my Medical Esthetician License in 2014 and jumpstarted my career in lashes, brows and waxing/threading services.
I love all things beauty and continuously growing and learning the newest tips and techniques. During the pandemic, I started learning a new skill, how to cut men’s hair and realized I had yet to discover and unlock a new found love in the beauty industry. In the beginning of 2022, I decided to explore this new adventure into the hair industry.
I am now currently in school and an apprentice on my way to getting my Hairstylist License. I hope to meet you all soon!"
